Seton Assignment

Our assignments area works year-long to ensure that room assignments are maintained. They also handle room changes, oversee the resident agreement process and facilitate the annual room selection process, an event intended for residents who wish to return to campus housing.

Building & Room Assignments

Housing assignments are processed based on the date the housing agreement was completed. Students have the opportunity to rank their preferences of building and room types. Building and room preferences are taken into consideration when housing assignments are made but are not guaranteed. Students may be assigned to any building or room type.

Converted housing and temporary housing assignments are also possible. Read more about these assignments here.

Roommate Assignments

Students who want to complete a roommate match must do so within their agreement. Incoming students will gain access to the Roommate Profile and Roommate Matching pages after they have been confirmed for housing. Roommate requests will be taken into consideration when assignments are made but are not guaranteed.

Roommate matches for incoming freshmen must be completed by May 1.

Roommate matches for incoming transfers must be completed by June 1.

Please note, students are not required to complete a roommate match. Those who do not will still have roommates, but those roommates will be assigned at random.

Housing Accommodations

DePaul Housing & Residence Life will make a good faith effort to provide housing that meets accommodation needs; however, availability is not guaranteed and potential options become more limited mid-year.

Housing accommodations will be considered based on recommendations from the Center for Students with Disabilities. To request housing accommodations due to a disability or medical condition, please contact the Center for Students with Disabilities at (773) 325-1677 or [email protected].

Students are encouraged to reach out to the Center for Students with Disabilities upon submission of their housing agreement. Students seeking housing accommodations should explore all available options, including off-campus housing resources, which can be found at https://offcampushousing.depaul.edu/.
